The band on the Tenth Anniversary Champagne has an elegant motif. The band itself has colors of orange and gold, with black accents and lettering. The band has “Perdomo Reserve” in the main oval of the design, while the “Tenth Anniversary” is prominent against a black background. The cigar itself is a tan color, with little blemishes, but does have a few veins showing. The wrapper feels almost papery, but smooth to the touch.
The Tenth Anniversary Champagne is constructed with Nicaraguan Filler and Binder, and an Ecuadorian Connecticut Wrapper. The cigar has a decent smoke output, providing a nice aroma. The ash is a medium-dark gray, and is very sturdy. The ash fell well into the second third of the smoke.
The cold draw of the Tenth Anniversary Champagne provides a nutty flavor, while the first light provides notes of spice and creaminess. The First Third provides notes of cedar and cream. Undertones of pepper and nutmeg also hit the palate. The retrohale of the first third may provide notes of white pepper.
The second third of the cigar may have strong notes of sweetness, along with a growing note of cedar. Subtle notes of creaminess linger, balancing the power of the cigar. The retrohale of the second third may provide notes of creaminess and pepper.
The final third of the smoke may provide stronger notes of cedar and nuts, with lingering pepper notes. Subtle notes of creaminess may also hit the palate. The retrohale of the final third may have notes of nuttiness and cream.
The Perdomo Tenth Anniversary Champagne is priced reasonably. A single cigar can go for around $11.75, while a box of 24 can go for around $293.75. Given the flavor and power behind this cigar, the cigar is priced perfectly.
While this cigar is a Connecticut Wrapper, it does have strength behind it. While it’s perfect for seasoned and veteran cigar smokers, it may be a little much for a newer cigar smoker.
