Perdomo has been a major player in the cigar industry since the 1990s. Perdomo Cigars are known to provide great flavor profiles, unique blends, and a combination of elegance and ease. Their newest line, the Legacy, was blended by Nicholas Perdomo III for his father, Nick Perdomo, Jr. These cigars are meant to be a testament to the dedication and passion Nick Perdomo, Jr. has presented to the his family and the world of the cigars. This is the review of the Perdomo Legacy Maduro. Take some time to read it, and consider adding the Legacy Maduro to your rotation.

The Legacy Maduro's appearance follows a lot of the same motifs of the rest of the Legacy line. The Perdomo seal is prominent at the top of the band. "Legacy" is boldly printed on the bottom of the band. This cigar's band uses a blue and gold color scheme, with subtle red accents. The band also has a sparkling, holographic look to it, which makes it stand out against other cigars in the humidor. The cigar itself is dark brown in color. The wrapper has some veins showing, but none protrude out. The cigar is coarse with a slight oily sheen to it. The cigar is a regular parejo.

The Legacy Maduro is constructed with Nicaraguan Filler, Nicaraguan Shade Grown Binder, and Nicaraguan Maduro Wrapper. The draw is good, allowing the smoke to hit the palate, and just tight enough to make you take your time. The ash is white and sturdy, falling just before the second third. The burn line can be a bit uneven, but not enough to warrant any touch-ups. While the burn line may be uneven, it is consistent throughout the smoke.

The flavor profile of the Legacy Maduro is a bit more robust than the other cigars in this line. The cold draw may provide notes of fig and cashew. The first light may provide strong notes of dark chocolate and espresso, along with an earthy undertone.

The first third of the cigar may have forward notes of dark chocolate and earth. Notes of espresso also hit the palate, blending well with a subtle hint of black pepper. There may also be notes of dark brown sugar and an undertone of nutmeg, which helps lighten up the flavor. The retrohale on the first third may provide notes of black pepper, espresso, and cedar.

The second third of the cigar may have front notes of espresso and earth, with dark chocolate notes falling to the back of the palate. Notes of black pepper become more prominent, but are evened out with undertones of dark brown sugar and molasses. The may also be notes of cashew, and a hint of orange zest that lingers on the palate. The retrohale of the second third may have notes of black pepper, espresso, and earth.

The final third of the cigar may have strong notes of espresso, with growing notes of dark brown sugar. Notes of black pepper stay consistent on the palate, along with notes of dark chocolate and an earthy undertone. Cashew and molasses notes also remain on the palate, with hints of nutmeg becoming more pronounced. The retrohale of the final third may have notes of black pepper, espresso, and dark chocolate.

The Legacy Maduro is priced the same as the other cigars in this line, with a single going for around $14.50, and a box of 24 going for around $348.00. This is definitely a good, competitive price. The flavors are consistent and blend well together. The construction is wonderful, and provides an easy smoking experience. This cigar would be great for those who have smoked for a few years, and even newer cigar smokers. It isn't particularly strong, and will enhance the palate of the newer cigar smokers.
