If you've visited your local brick and mortar cigar shop, you've heard of this cigar. Crowned Heads released an industry dominating cigar - the Mil Dias. Between the flavor profile, construction, and aroma, this cigar is easily a top cigar on the market. Give this one a try, you'll thank me later.

The Mil Dias has a simple, but beautiful presentation. The lovely Equadorian Habano wrapper gives the cigar a gorgeous light brown color, allowing it to stick out in your humidor at home. While simplicity is the presentation style, it doesn't take away any of the personality this cigar has. A simple "M" makes the label. Of course, the "M" stands for Mil Dias, but it could also stand for magnificent.

The Mil Dias is constructed with fillers from Nicaragua, Peru, and Costa Rica. The binder is from Nicaragua, and the aforementioned wrapper if an Equadorian Habano. Needless to say, this cigar is a tour of tobacco. While the cigar does pack tobacco from different locations, they cooperate very well together. The burn is even, for the most part, and allows for a stress free smoke. The draw is smooth, but not loose enough so you lose the flavor and aroma. The ash gets to a consistent 1 1/2 -2 inches long before falling off. All in all, very good construction.

The flavor profile in this cigar is nothing short of wonderful. Prominent notes of cedar, earth, chocolate and white pepper make up the majority of the profile. Milder notes of cinnamon and possibly nougat come into play in the first third of the smoke. The Mil Dias also has a delicious, nutty flavor throughout the smoke. The Mil Dias also gives an aroma of cedar and chocolate. Partnered with the notes of earth and pepper on the retrohale, it really makes for a great smoke.

Finally, the price point. The Mil Dias Double Robusto (the cigar in the picture) goes for about $11.00 per stick, and around $215 for a box of 20. While the price is definitely competitive, it is well worth it. All things considered, this cigar is absolutely worth the money, and should definitely be a valued addition to your home humidor.

GC Rating: 92
